Spennymoor boss Graeme Clark reckoned that physio Mark Givens was his side's best player when they lost 2-0 at home to Frickley on Saturday.
Givens was forced to come on to the field as a first half sub for the injured Steve Hutt, and played for an hour before being replaced himself.
Clark, who didn't talk to his players after the game, said: "Mark was probably our best player. It says something when the physio makes the best impression in our team because his character and desire were stronger than those of the other players."
Moors only had 13 players at the start of the game and one of those, Andrew Brown, was already injured although he replaced Givens for the last 20 minutes.
Danny Brunskill and Keith Graydon missed chances for Moors before Wael Nazha scored for Frickley after 67 minutes, then Leroy Chambers headed a second a few minutes later.
Spennymoor have been instructed to appear in front of the UniBond League on March 29th, to answer a charge of failing to fulfil their fixture at Leek last week.
Moors' next game is at home to Ossett Town tomorrow night, and they are asking fans to turn out in numbers.
Bishop Auckland are still bottom of the table after they lost 1-0 at Witton Albion.
Manager Brian Honour said: "A silly elementary mistake cost us. Three players played the offside trap, one didn't.
"I thought we were as good, and at times as bad, as Witton Albion were."
The only goal came after 38 minutes when Bishops keeper Simon Corbett blocked a shot from Lee Spike, but the ball ran loose for Adam Foy to fire home.
Bishops nearly levelled at the start of the second half, but Steve Salvin's shot was cleared off the line. Bishops' next game is at home to Blyth on Friday afternoon, kick off 1pm.
Blyth lost for the second time in a week to Hyde, going down 3-0, while Gateshead's new signing, Paul Brayson, scored both his side's goals in their 2-1 away win at Lincoln United.
Whitby are still in promotion contention after they beat Marine 2-1 at the Turnbull Ground, Jack Wilkinson and Anthony Ormerod scoring their goals.
