Bishop Auckland FC manager Brian Honour took time off from his team's relegation battle to support a hospice.
Brian Honour gave £1,008.50 to Sylvia Stoneham, from the Butterwick Hospice, in Bishop Auckland, before a home game against Bridlington Town at Spennymoor's Brewery Field.
Mr Honour raised the cash with a "Keepy-Up" challenge in the Newgate Centre, in Bishop Auckland. He recorded a best total of 2,025 and over 4,000 touches from his three efforts. Former FA Cup Final referee George Courtney oversaw at the event.
Bishop Auckland play on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
