PRIMARY school pupils have been trying their hands at a variety of experiments as part of national science week.
The Allertonshire School, in Northallerton, invited year six pupils from the surrounding primary schools to their computer laboratory to celebrate science week, which finished yesterday.
The pupils were set the challenge of trying to discover the best material to use to make a toy car track.
They used light-gates to measure the speed of cars running down different slopes and then used their knowledge about friction to explain the results.
