THE future of the weekly Bedale Market will be under the spotlight at a meeting next month.
Hambleton district councillors, who have been trying to address the decline of the Tuesday market, concluded in November that its future could lie in local hands.
Bedale town councillors have agreed to discussions on the issue.
A delegation from the town council will meet senior officers from the district council on April 4. A report is expected to go before the town council on April 11.
