THE official opening of Darlington Football Club's new North Stand will be launched by rock band Freefaller on Saturday.
The foursome, who reached the top ten with their hit Do This Do That last month, will be performing at the club's home game against Kidderminster Harriers.
Their appearance has been arranged in association with TFM Radio. Gates open at 11am, with an early kick-off at 1pm.
All schools across the Darlington area are being encouraged to make the match a day out for staff, pupils and parents.
The school with the highest attendance, in relation to the number of children on its register, will have the honour of having the new family stand named after it until the end of the season.
Stewart Davies, chairman of Darlington FC, said: "The response has been amazing. The school tickets are being snapped up at an amazing rate and we look forward to hearing from more schools over the coming days."
Tickets for the North Stand for Saturday's match are only on sale through schools.
The ticket office at the Williamson Motors Stadium will be open from 10am to 4pm on Good Friday.
