A MAN was yesterday cleared of exposing himself to neighbours from his living room window.
Research organic chemist Gareth Cardus was accused of performing a sex act in the bay window of his home in Sherburn Village, near Durham, on four dates between July and August last year.
Mr Cardus, 29, was arrested and, although he admitted the act, he denied having intended anyone to see what he was doing.
Mr Cardus denied four counts of exposure, brought under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
A jury at Durham Crown Court returned unanimous not guilty verdicts on the second day of his trial.
