A Newton Aycliffe company is showering a charity with thousands of pounds.
Roman Ltd, a leading shower manufacturer, is giving £25,000 to County Durham Foundation to help to fund its good causes in Darlington, Newton Aycliffe, Spennymoor and Ferryhill.
The company is celebrating 20 years in business and wanted to mark the anniversary by helping local people improve their community's quality of life.
The company's cash injection, made possible through its Roman Community Fund, aims to assist those living in a ten-mile radius of the factory to gain access to services and activities.
Managing director of Roman Ltd, Gerry Osborne, said: "We want to give something back to the communities that have been supporting us for the past 20 years."
The charity's chief executive, Gillian Stacey, said: "The generosity of companies like Roman can make a huge difference."
