COMMUNITY wardens are to get a new bicycle to help them with their duties.
Stockton's crime prevention panel has provided funding for the bicycle for wardens in Ingleby Barwick.
It will be presented to the wardens next week.
Mike Devereux, chairman of the crime prevention panel, said: "We fully support any method that helps Stockton's community wardens to do their job to help keep the borough a safer place to live."
Councillor Martyn Ingram said: "The council very much appreciates the support of Stockton's Crime Prevention Panel, and I am sure the bike will enable the community wardens to carry out their duties even more efficiently.
