A SCHOOL has come up with a winning design to help tackle crime.
Greencroft Comprehensive School, in Stanley, won two awards after designing a new logo for the Derwentside Community Safety Partnership.
Tyler Walton, 12, won first prize and Liam Cooke, also 12, took third prize.
The brief for the competition, which was open to all schools in Derwentside, was to design a logo that would represent the "working-together aspects" of the partnership.
In the past, the partnership's publications and stationery carried logos representing all authorities. Tyler's design will appear on all correspondence.
Chris Espiner, headteacher at Greencroft, invited partnership members to present prizes at the year seven assembly. Tyler and Liam received gift vouchers.
