Bedlington joint manager Tony Lowery says that the opening goal is vital in the second leg of their FA Vase semi-final at home to Sudbury today.
Terriers go into the game 2-1 down against the Eastern League leaders, who have only lost once in all competitions this season, and Lowery, who will choose from a full squad, said: "The first goal is very important.
"If we get it, then it takes the pressure off a little bit, and the crowd will get behind us.
"But if they score it, then our task becomes much more difficult, because then we'll need to score two to force extra time.
"We feel that we can play better than last week - but I'm sure that Sudbury will be feeling the same."
Sudbury are the competition favourites, and have made the semi-finals four years in a row.
Jarrow Roofing also have the same attitude for their home leg with Didcot Town, going into the second leg a single goal down.
Manager Richie McLoughlin said: "We must get at Didcot early on. They're a strong side, and we must be on our game.
"We didn't play to our potential last week. Five players didn't really do it for us, so hopefully they can turn it on at home."
Roofing have been almost impregnable at home this season, where they have disposed of fancied teams like Frome, Deal and Cammell Laird. Midfielder Darryl Leach is suspended and striker Paul Chow is ineligible.
