TWO Brownie packs could fold if they do not find new voluntary leaders.
Unless new volunteers are found to help run the 1st and 6th Yarm Brownies, near Stockton, the groups will be forced to close.
Other packs in the area are already full, so the end of the two Yarm groups could leave their young members with no- where to go.
In a bid to save the packs, district commissioner Christine Brooks is appealing to anyone who can give a couple of hours a week.
She said: "They are both well-established units, so we don't want to lose them.
"For one reason or another, two leaders have had to leave and we are desperate to replace them. All the other packs in the area are full, so it would be difficult to split up these two units."
They meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 6pm to 7.30pm, at Levendale School and Yarm Methodist Church.
Mrs Brooks said: "Volunteers need to be enthusiastic and keen to work with children."
Anyone aged over 18 who can help is asked to contact Mrs Brooks on (01642) 760737.
