A MAN allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl as she slept, a court heard.
Derek Daniels denies raping the girl and also pleads not guilty to two counts of indecent assault said to have been committed against another 13-year-old girl.
Euan Duff, prosecuting, told Teesside Crown Court that the attack on the 15-year-old only stopped when she asked him what he was doing.
He said: "She felt it was horrible and was frightened and shocked."
Mr Duff said that some time afterwards the 15-year-old girl was kicked very hard in the stomach by Mr Daniels and she believed this was in case she had fallen pregnant.
Medical evidence was consistent with the allegation that she had made, he said.
Mr Daniels, 30, of Horden, near Peterlee, County Durham, is also accused of touching a 13-year-old girl intimately on two different occasions.
The girl at first kept quiet about the attacks, fearing repercussions, but eventually told her mother.
Mr Duff told the jury that the prosecution's case was that Mr Daniels had consumed a great deal of drink before the attacks.
Mr Daniels denies raping a girl under 16 and two counts of indecent assault against a 13-year-old.
His trial continues.
