A CALL is being made to organisations to support one of East Cleveland's biggest charity events.
Every voluntary and charitable organisation in and around Guisborough is being invited to take part in this year's Town Fair, which is sponsored by Gisborough Hall Hotel and organised by the Rotary Club of Guisborough and Great Ayton.
More than 4,000 visitors attended last year's inaugural fair, which was supported by 40 local groups and raised more than £5,000 for local charities.
Rotary club president Mark Hards said: "We have written to every organisation that we can find in Guisborough but there may be others for whom we do not have addresses.
"Some organisations use it as a fundraising event, others use it to recruit members or promote their activities.
"There is no charge to the organisations, all we ask is that they contribute a prize to the Rotary Club's tombola stall."
The fair takes place on Sunday, June 19, and will include the annual Guisborough Fun Run, a craft fair, children's fairground rides, archery and judo demonstrations, dancing and sports club demonstrations.
Every organisation in the town is invited to send a representative to an information meeting at Gisborough Hall Hotel on Tuesday, April 12, at 7pm.
For more information, ring the fair's organiser, Peter Sotheran, on (01642) 471662.
