WORK is progressing on an £850,000 restoration at a tourist attraction.
Helmsley Walled Garden, Helmsley, North Yorkshire, has undergone a transformation, with the Victorian vinery and glasshouses being restored.
When it is complete, the vinery will have one of the best collections of Victorian vines in the country.
A cafe is also on the site and a shop has been added, selling craft items made locally.
The garden has opened for the summer season, but will have its official launch on May 30.
Head gardener Paul Radcliffe said: "We are restoring historic buildings, because they are supreme examples of Victorian glasshouses, but also they are being used to make the garden more sustainable."
