Police in the Irish Republic are continuing the search for a man after a 14-year-old girl, missing for a week, was reunited with her Teesside family.
The teenager is believed to have disappeared from her home in Thornaby last Friday with James O'Brien, 23.
Detectives traced the pair to Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic, where the girl was found.
She returned to England on Thursday, but police are still seeking Mr O'Brien over possible child abduction.
A spokesman for Cleveland Police said family friends from Teesside travelled to Dublin on Thursday and managed to trace the teenager, who was unharmed.
Detectives have warned there will be "no let up" in the search for Mr O'Brien.
The spokesman said: "There was an emotional reunion between the girl and her family when she landed at Manchester Airport on Thursday night.
"We will be speaking to her later today. But for the moment we are giving the family some time to themselves."
Officers from the Garda in the Irish Republic are working with detectives from Cleveland Police in the search for Mr O'Brien.
The spokesman added: "Mr O'Brien did not return to the UK and the search for him continues.
"We would urge him to give himself up as there will be no let up in our hunt for him."
