A landmark building in the heart of the tourist capital of the north has gone on the market.
Station Rise, the main railway headquarters in the centre of York, is to be sold in a deal expected to be worth more than £11m.
Owned by the Strategic Rail Authority it is home to more than a dozen tenants, including GNER and Northern Rail.
But while the SRA will be handing the building on in a deal likely to be completed before the end of April, the tenants are expected to stay on. Both the headquarters building and the West Offices opposite accommodate about 1,000 workers.
