TWO men have admitted attacking a bus driver after being caught on the bus security cameras.
Anthony Cooper, 20, of Aldam Street, and Christopher Fothergill, 21, of Chatsworth Terrace, both of Darlington, pleaded guilty before the town's magistrates yesterday to assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The court heard Cooper and Fothergill had caught a Green Bus Company vehicle, following an afternoon out drinking on November 19 last year.
The pair signalled to get off and approached the doors.
The camera footage was played to the court and showed both men punched driver Keith Marsden.
The case has been adjourned until April 28 for full reports. The men were released on unconditional bail.
Fothergill also admitted persistently using a public telephone to cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to another. The case will be dealt with at the same time as the assault.
