TEENAGE sensation Jason St Juste has set an ambitious personal double target, helping Darlington to promotion and earning an extended deal at the Williamson Motors Stadium.
The skilful 19-year-old has been a revelation since breaking into manager David Hodgson's team.
Despite the return to fitness of former Dutch international Bobby Petta, St Juste kept his place in the side which beat Chester City at the weekend.
The win took Hodgson's men back into the top seven for the sixth time this season. And St Juste, who only signed professional forms for Quakers in September, believes there is enough quality in the squad to seal League One football next season.
"We've certainly got the players to take us up, but first we have to concentrate on keeping our place in the play-offs," said St Juste.
"I've been quite happy with my performances and hopefully I can keep my place and help us do that."
St Juste, who began the season with amateur side Garforth Town, is out of contract at the end of the season.
He admitted: "It has been a big step up for me from non-league, but I'm enjoying it and I would love to stay beyond this season."
Hodgson is expected to keep faith with St Juste when Quakers travel to bottom-of-the-table Cambridge United this weekend.
The Quakers boss could hand a debut to Middlesbrough defender Matthew Bates, who is due to link up with his new teammates tomorrow. The 18-year-old joined Quakers on-loan until the end of the season a fortnight ago, but has remained with the Teessiders to recover from a back injury.
"Matthew has expressed his concern that he has not done enough ball work after the injury so we will have to wait and see," revealed assistant manager, Mark Proctor.
Bates' Boro team-mate, midfielder Anthony Peacock, is training with Quakers. Peacock was due to play in tonight's reserve game at Boston United, but the youngster has been called up by the Teessiders for their North Riding Cup game with Scarborough.
Similarly, Hodgson's attempts to trial an unnamed Leeds striker were thwarted after he was called up to play for Leeds' second string.
