THE manager of a business centre is retiring after nearly two decades in charge.
Peter Douglas, the manager of Stockton Business Centre, is hanging up his keys after 18 years leading the centre.
Stockton Enterprise Centre was launched in 1988 to provide 50 units for small businesses and was extended in December 1990 with a further 13 units.
The centre was renamed Stockton Business Centre in 1995 and now has 101 business units.
Mark Rowell, Funding and Business Manager for Stockton Council, said: "Peter's input and commitment was paramount to the success of the business centre."
