TWITCHERS are invited on a free guided walk around a wildlife haven next month.
John Olley, the conservation officer for Durham Bird Club and hen harrier field worker for English Nature, will lead the stroll around Bishop Middleham Wetlands on Sunday, May 1. It is hoped walkers will see a host of wetland and farmland birds and possibly some rare breeds.
Walkers should meet at Bishop Middleham wildlife garden car park, off Church Street, at 10am and should take binoculars.
