SCHOOL pupils have been finding out about the consequences of crime for both the victim and the offender as part of a study of crime and safety issues.
The 11 and 12-year-olds from the Allertonshire School, in Northallerton, worked with officers from Hambleton Community Safety Partnership, including the police, fire and rescue service, Victim Support, North Yorkshire County Council and Hambleton District Council.
At the end of the month-long study, the pupils produced a series of plays and posters.
Everyone taking part received a certificate, but three teams were judged to have produced the best work and were handed commemorative plaques.
