THE call has gone out for sporty youngsters in Hartlepool to represent their town in this year's Tees Valley Youth Games.
The annual event, which this year takes place in Hartlepool on Saturday, June 18, and in Stockton on Sunday, June 19, enables young people from Teesside to compete against each other in a variety of different sports.
Organisers are looking for young people in Hartlepool who have not played at county level, or above, to make up the town's Youth Games team.
Organisers are seeking girls and boys to represent the town in basketball, football, netball, rugby, hockey, swimming, tennis and table tennis.
They are also looking for disabled swimmers from years 6, 7, 8 and 9.
Susanne Clark, of Hartlepool Borough Council's sports development team, said: "There will be training sessions for all the sports, from which we will select a team to take part in the Youth Games."
For more details, call the council's sports development team on (01429) 284052.
