COUNCILLORS are tomorrow expected to approve spending almost £500,000 on Darlington's railway museum roof.
A restoration scheme was initially expected to cost £400,000, but construction changes added £90,000 to the bill.
The council said the work was necessary to ensure the museum was watertight.
