PUPILS were shown what a career in the RAF could do for them when a former student returned to the classroom.
Corporal Steve Johnson, 28, left Tudhoe Grange School, Spennymoor, 13 years ago and is now a recruiting officer for the RAF in Newcastle.
He is touring schools in the region to promote careers in the service and yesterday he returned to his former school to show what can be achieved. He said: "It was good to be back and see some of the old faces that I haven't seen for a long time.
The day seemed to go well and the students asked a lot of good questions. I have had a lot out of the RAF. I have travelled a lot and enjoyed a lot of sport. I would definitely recommend it as a career."
