A NORTH Yorkshire authority has relaunched its website with more than 2,000 pages of information.

At the same time, Harrogate Borough Council has launched a facility so council bills can be paid online or over the telephone.

Information and website manager Robert Van Tol, who has led the team developing the new site, said: "Whilst we are conscious that many people still want to contact us by the old tried methods, the district does have one of the highest computer ownerships in the country and more people are turning to the web first," he said.
