POLICE are still trying to trace the last movements of a young mother found dead in a stream.
The body of Kerry Deighton, 33, of Rutland Close, Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire, was found on Saturday by children walking dogs in the town's Coronation Park.
Ms Deighton's family was too upset to talk yesterday.
A neighbour, who said the community was in a state of shock over the death, described her as a well-known and well-liked woman.
A post-mortem examination proved inconclusive, but police said Ms Deighton did not appear to have been the victim of an attack. Officers trying to trace her last movements were understood to be looking at security camera footage.
They believe she was drinking with friends on Friday in the Jesters pub and Louies Bar, on the Army garrison.
The spokesman said detectives wanted to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious, or who saw a lone woman in the area late on Friday night or up to 3am on Saturday.
Ms Deighton is described as white, 5ft 7in, stocky, with short dark hair. She has a tattoo and was wearing silver jewellery, black boots, blue jeans, a black T-shirt with a red and black motif, and a black bomber jacket.
