POLICE are urging a teenager who left home after a row to get in touch.
Police say Stephen Thompson, 17, of Park Street, Seaham, had a row with his parents on Tuesday morning and was last seen at 1pm at Sunderland Railway Station getting on a train for Carlisle.
A spokesman said: "The train stopped at Heworth, Newcastle, the MetroCentre, Hexham and Haltwhistle and arrived at Carlisle shortly before 5pm. We don't know where Stephen got out.
"We know he has a small amount of money. Obviously his parents are very concerned and need to know that he is safe. We would urge Stephen, or anyone who sees him, to get in touch.''
The youngster, who works in a fast food shop and is also known as Tonka or Tomma, is 5ft 10in, is stocky and has short dark brown hair.
Anyone with information is asked to call Seaham police on 0845 6060365.
