PARISH councillors have called for more youth facilities - after concerns about youths causing trouble.
Hurworth Parish Council heard this week that there had been several cases of criminal damage and anti-social behaviour over the past month.
Councillor Peter Foster said there had been a large amount of vandalism at the Grange Community Centre and other parts of the village, mainly by a gang of youths.
But councillors were told the situation had improved over the past week, since the arrival of community support officer John Angus.
However, the council bemoaned the loss of facilities for youngsters in recent times.
Councillor George Lawman called for a committe to look into providing facilities, and said: "We have still got no youth facilities in the village. There is nowhere they can go."
