ONE of the region's most popular attractions will hold a summer-long celebration of the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
As part of the event, the public are being asked to come forward with their memories and memorabilia of the period.
The Castle Museum, in York, is holding a roadshow on April 23 called Your War, Their War, when visitors are being asked to bring in their treasured possessions from the wartime years.
The objects will be shown in a summer-long display in the foyer, which will change every fortnight, highlighting different stories.
Even if they decide not to lend their objects, experts will be on hand to give people the stories behind their possessions.
