A MAN who works with the homeless at a town church pleaded guilty to two public order offences in court yesterday.
Linton Bull, 25, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour on April 3 and disorderly behaviour the next night.
Martin Butterworth, prosecuting, said in the first incident, outside a Harrogate bar, Bull made violent threats to police.
Mr Butterworth said Bull had been bailed after telling police he had ''lost it'' when a group of men "wound him up".
But Bull was back in the town centre the next night, outside a bar in Station Parade and police again had to be called because of his abuse.
In mitigation, Richard Buchanan said both offences had followed too much drink, a problem for which Bull was seeking help from the Harrogate Alcohol and Drugs Agency.
Mr Buchanan said Bull had been working voluntarily at St Peter's Church since September.
He had been helping to feed the homeless.
He had spent the past six months lodging at the Wedderburn Road, Harrogate, home of the church caretaker.
Bull was put on a three-month curfew order requiring him to be indoors between 9pm and 7am. Costs of £50 were also ordered.
