THE region's tallest office building has changed hands in a £16.55m deal.
Middlesbrough's landmark Centre North East, was sold by Marchday to Kenmore Property Group.
The 17-storey building was given a £5m facelift and is fully occupied. Tenants include Garlands Call Centres, Walkabout Inns, National Probation Service, Erimus Housing and Middlesbrough Town Centre Company.
John Orchard, director of Marchday, said: "Hopefully, the regeneration of Centre North East will act as a catalyst to the overall regeneration of the town. There are many exciting developments in the pipeline for Middlesbrough and Marchday would love to be involved with more schemes in the town."
Phil Eves, of Kenmore, said: "We will continue to explore more and hopefully expand our portfolio even further in the North-East in the near future."
