ACCOUNTANCY practice RMT has strengthened its management team with two appointments.
The Jesmond-based firm has taken on MARK DEMPSEY, as special projects manager and SIMON STEPHENSON, as recovery and insolvency manager as part of its push for growth. Both men are from Whitley Bay.
Mr Dempsey has experience working for Deutsche Bank Offshore in Dublin and Guernsey, where he also worked for 14 years as an audit manager and director for an international accountancy practice before taking a career break to travel the world and walk the Inca Trail.
He will specialise in corporate finance, acquisitions and disposals and re-financing assignments at RMT.
Mr Stephenson joins RMT from Tait Walker as recovery and insolvency manager. Before that he worked with Ernst & Young, in Newcastle, for 25 years. He specialises in corporate insolvency, with an emphasis on recovery.
