Detectives investigating the death of a well-liked student are trying to piece together her final hours.
Sixteen-year-old Kimberley Bage was found with multiple stab wounds in her mother's home at around lunch-time on Friday.
But police are anxious to know where she had been and what she had been doing from the previous morning.
Dozens of people have already called the incident room in Hartlepool, but detectives last night appealed from more help from the public.
Detective Inspector John Chapman said: "I would like to thank the people of Hartlepool for coming forward plenty of them have, and they have provided us with useful information.
"But I would like to reiterate our appeal about anyone who has seen anything, heard anything or, indeed, has been told anything about this very tragic event, to come forward.
"We want to know about Kimberley's movements from first thing on Thursday morning until the tragic discovery of her body at around midday on Friday."
Kim, who was studying at Hartlepool College of Further Education, was found dead in a downstairs room at her mother's house in Troutpool Close, on the town's central estate.
Detectives have said she was the victim of a frenzied knife attack and fought for some time with her killer.
The teenager, who was known to friends and family as Kim, was said by neighbours and former teachers to be a well-liked, bright youngster.
She attended St Helen's Primary School on the Headland, before moving to St Hild's secondary school where she gained good GCSE grades.
St Hild's deputy headteacher Lynn Gill said: "It was with both sadness and shock that we heard the news of Kimberley's death.
"Staff and pupils will remember her as a lively and popular girl who did well at St Hild's (CORR).
"This is a horrific tragedy and our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends."
No date has yet been set for an inquest or a funeral.
Anyone who can help the police investigation is urged to call (01642) 326326 and ask for extension 1612.
* Paul Andrew Knappett, 29, of Wentworth Grove, Hartlepool, has been charged with murder and is being held in custody until an appearance at Teesside Crown Court on April 26.
