ALUN Armstrong has confidently insisted that Darlington remain on course to achieve their play-off goal, writes LEE HALL.
Despite their recent poor run, which has produced just one win in their last five games, Quakers are seventh in League Two, where they occupy the final play-off berth.
And, as alarming as their form may appear, Armstrong is certain Quakers will be one of the four teams in the play-off mix.
With three games remaining Quakers lie two points above Northampton and four ahead of Wycombe and Rochdale, in ninth and tenth respectively.
"We still have a lot of work to do, but I think we have the quality in the squad to make sure," said Armstrong.
"We've had one or two disappointing results lately, although there was a massive improvement at Mansfield.
"If we can carry the first half performance at Mansfield into our last three games then I have no doubt that we will make the play-offs."
The striker has scored 11 goals since joining Quakers on a free transfer in September. However, just one strike - in the 2-1 win over Yeovil last month - has came in the 30-year-old's last 13 games.
