CHANGES are being made at the top of the police force in North Yorkshire.
Detective Chief Superintendent Carmel Napier has been appointed Acting Assistant Chief Constable.
She takes over the responsibilities held by Deputy Chief Constable Roger Baker, who becomes the Chief Constable of Essex in July 1, until Roger Baker is replaced.
Det Chief Supt Napier was previously the force's strategic development officer and is a former head of the specialist support department
Superintendent Iain Spittal and Superintendent Dave Coutts will switch posts.
Supt Spittal becomes operations commander of the force's eastern area, while Supt Coutts becomes head of public access.
