DURHAM Wildlife Trust's new programme of walks and talks for the over-18s gets under way this Sunday with a guided tour around Hawthorn Dene Nature Reserve.
The Dene consists of relatively unspoilt ancient broadleaved woodland and boasts a spectacular spring flower display, best seen from April onwards.
The walk will take place between 2pm and 4pm and places, priced at £3 a head, must be booked in advance. Anyone wanting information is asked to telephone 0191 5843112.
