THE finishing touches are being put to plans for Northallerton's May Fair.
The annual event runs from Thursday, April 28, to Monday, May 2.
Car parking and bus and taxi collection points will be changed for the duration and parts of the High Street between Zetland Street and All Saints Church will be closed.
Park and ride schemes will operate from the Civic Centre and County Hall for both Saturday shoppers and fairgoers.
The free bus service is being sponsored by Barkers of Northallerton and the Showmen's Guild.
A spokeswoman for Hambleton District Council said: "The May Fair has become a major event for the district, bringing people from across the region into the town to enjoy a traditional town fair."
Long stay parking in the Applegarth car park will be reduced between Sunday, April 23 and Tuesday, May 3.
Alternative long stay parking will be available at the Hambleton Forum, Crosby Road and Civic Centre car parks.
Bus stops will be moved to Zetland Street for northbound services and outside the library for southbound.
