YOUNG people and staff from the Thirsk Clock youth centre are to feature in a six-minute video about its activities and services.
The film is being devised by volunteer James Loomes, and recorded by Helmsley-based company Gordon and Associates.
One of the final scenes was shot on Wednesday during rehearsals for a dance routine for a fashion show.
The film concentrates on what the centre offers young people aged 13-19. Along with a caf and social area, the centre runs services such as a job search workshop from noon-2pm, Monday to Friday, when people can use the computers to search for jobs, work on their CVs and get help to fill in and send applications. A sexual health awareness week will be launched on May 23, with talks, workshops and advice.
Youth workers have helped youngsters get involved with community-spirited projects such as clean-ups and Thirsk in Bloom events.
Last month, a group of 16 teenagers went camping in Carlton Lodge, and enjoyed rock climbing, canoeing and sailing in Pateley Bridge.
The manager, Abigail Homer McGhie, said: "We are really looking forward to seeing the finished film and have tried to include as many different aspects of the centre as possible.
"It will help show people who have supported us what their money and efforts have helped achieve, and also get more people interested in becoming involved."
The fashion show, with clothes from Sail boutique and hairstyles by Watkins-Wright salon, will be held in East Thirsk Community Centre on June 8 to raise funds for the centre and the Friarage Hospital special care baby unit.
