HOSPITAL staff yesterday said a big thank you to the Army for donating DVD players, PlayStations and games to a children's ward.
Members of the Royal Military Police from Catterick Garrison visited the Friarage Hospital, in Northallerton, to hand over the equipment.
Staff nurse Ann Robinson said: "One of the PlayStations is free-standing with its own monitor, which is really good for the kids that can't get about.
"You can never have too much of this sort of equipment because the kids all have their own at home.
"We can also move some of them around, so if there is a child in A&E, we can take them down there, or use them in the children's outpatients department."
