A woman who hid a Kinder egg full of heroin in her underwear told a court she had beaten her addiction.
At Newcastle Crown Court yesterday, Michelle Buckley, 27, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin with intent to supply.
Andrew Holmes, prosecuting, said plain clothes police patrolling in Sunderland on November 9 last year spotted Buckley attempt to conceal something in her right hand.
The officers went to speak to her, and had to force open her hand to reveal a number of small packets of heroin wrapped in silver foil.
Buckley was arrested and taken to the police station, where an internal examination revealed a further stash of heroin sealed inside a Kinder Surprise egg.
The drugs were worth about £100.
Robin Patton, in mitigation, told the court that Buckley, of Duncan Street, Sunderland, had kicked her addiction.
Judge David Hodson said he wanted to find out whether Buckley was suitable to be referred for a drug treatment and testing order.
Sentencing was adjourned until May 13 for reports
