COUNCILLORS are to be given a progress report on efforts to improve bus stops in the Darlington area.
The borough council is keen to increase the number of people using public transport and believes it must upgrade bus stops to help achieve that.
Proposals include providing up-to-date information, improving safety features and installing raised kerbs.
Closed circuit television cameras will be installed in 25 shelters.
The council's environmental forum will discuss the improvements on Thursday.
