SONG-WRITING library assistants hope their musical notes will turn into banknotes to help victims of the Asian tsunami disaster.
Shaun Liddell, Peter Kidd and Steven Clayton, who work at Durham County Council's Clayport Library, in Durham City, discovered they all played instruments so formed a band called Infinite Monkey.
Now they have written and recorded a CD, Growing Colder, and hope to sell it to raise funds for the appeal.
The CD is £3 and, once production costs have been covered, the band hopes to donate almost £2 from each sale to the appeal.
The CD is available from the library by calling 0191-386 4003 and from County Hall.
