THE finishing touches are being put to a village's medieval fair.
Sedgefield will host the annual medieval fair on Saturday, May 21, starting at 10am with entertainment on the village green all day.
A parade marshalled by Ray Barron, will be led by The Territorial Army Durham Light Infantry band and the Flower queen.
Entertainment will include demonstrations by the Knights of the Black Phoenix, falconry displays, dancing and a tug of war.
Ceddesfeld Hall will host Punch and Judy shows, a vintage motor exhibition and a living history display. St Edmund's Church will operate tours of the tower and music.
A house to house collection for goods to sell will take place from Sunday, May 15.
A dinner for the organisers took place on Saturday.
Proceeds from the event will help Sedgefield Community Association maintain the Ceddesfeld Hall.
