YOUNGSTERS are hitting the forest trail during a series of free treks.
The guided walks, at Guisborough Forest, near Pinchinthorpe, started last weekend as part of a joint campaign by the Forestry Commission and the British Heart Foundation.
Children taking part can win a mystery prize if they take part in all the walks, which run until August.
The themed treks will include a fossil hunt, as well as walks to explore the animal life in the forest.
All walks set out from the Guisborough Forest and Walkway Visitor Centre. For information on dates, call (01287) 631132 or visit www.forestry.gov.uk/Active.
