POLICE have issued an e-fit of a man suspected of robbing a 16-year-old of cash and cigarettes after they both boarded a train.
The man and his victim both got on the Virgin train at Darlington. It left the station at about 1.20pm on Tuesday, March 29.
Both the teenager and the suspect, who was wearing a baseball cap, are believed to have been sitting in coach D.
British Transport Police said the Edinburgh to Bournemouth train made an unscheduled stop at Doncaster, because of an incident outside Leeds station.
It was at Doncaster that the 16-year-old was robbed. The man then left the train.
Detective Constable Paul Kazimierczyk, of British Transport Police, said police were keen to identify the suspect, who was believed to be travelling to the Leeds area.
