PEOPLE in Teesside are to get the chance to see why a shop full of curios and oddities has turned thousands of heads.
A hippopotamus skull thought to date back millions of years, a stuffed polar bear and the smallest cat and dog in the world are among the weird and wonderful contents of the Curiosity Shop, put together from the collections of 12 museums and art galleries.
The show, located in premises in the High Street, attracted 35,000 visitors during a five-week stay in Redcar and moves on to Stockton town centre from May 9 to June 18.
It then moves on to Hartlepool town centre from July to August, while it will be in Darlington in September and October and Middlesbrough in November and December.
