A CHARITY has been doing its bit for the environment, with the help of a team of volunteers.
Northdale Horticulture, of Northallerton, provides a meaningful occupation for people with learning disabilities.
With the help of a grant from the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers, they have been working to improve their site. The nature trail has been extended and a wildlife corridor planted with more than 500 trees, shrubs and hedging.
New signs and wheelchair-friendly seating is about to be completed.
The area is open to the public, and local schools are welcome to use it for environmental projects
