STAFF at a Teesside housing agency have celebrated their first birthday by raising money for a local hospice.
Not-for-profit company Housing Hartlepool raised almost £400 for Hartlepool and District Hospice through the sale of tombola tickets at an event in the Borough Hall. on the Headland.
The group became responsible for the daily running and management of the town's former council housing stock in March last year.
Customer relations manager Jacquie Mason said: "We are keen to support local charities, and the hospice is very close to the hearts of most staff.
"We were delighted to raise £392 on this particular occasion, and it complements several other donations that we have made to the hospice over the last year."
Mandy McKay, head of the hospice's in-patient unit, said: "Everyone at Hartlepool and District Hospice is proud to wish Housing Hartlepool a happy first birthday and we are delighted they have chosen this occasion to show their support for the patients and families in our care."
