TINKERMAN David Hodgson will make more changes to his Darlington side this weekend after revealing only the fittest will face Lincoln City on Saturday.
With two games remaining Hodgson has vowed to take a more cautious approach to his team selection as Quakers aim to seal their place in the play-offs.
And that could mean no place in the side for striker Alun Armstrong, who is struggling with a niggling calf problem.
Last week Armstrong was deemed fit enough to start in the 2-0 win over Rushden. However, Hodgson is not prepared to take further risks at such a crucial stage of the season.
Quakers will secure a play-off place if they beat Lincoln and Northampton fail to win at Chester.
Hodgson's decision will also come as a blow to skipper Neil Maddison, who, despite playing for the reserves on Tuesday, has not yet fully recovered from a back problem.
And, while Hodgson has kept the same side on back-to-back occasions just three times this season, the Quakers boss has lost vital players - Craig Liddle and Craig Hignett - to injury when they have played not fully fit.
"I've put the best possible side out all season but now we have to think about our fittest XI," said Hodgson. "We have two massive games coming up and it's important that we have the players fit enough to cover the ground.
"Unfortunately Alun (Armstrong) won't make it for the Lincoln game and Maddo (Maddison) is not 100 per cent, so he won't be considered," said Hodgson.
Bobby Petta is fit after a dead leg and Matthew Bates has recovered from a virus, while defender Matt Clarke is available after serving a two-match ban.
Goalkeeper Michael Price has been ordered to stay at home after contracting mumps. Third-choice keeper Jack Norton could be on the bench on Saturday.
Saturday's game is not all-ticket for visiting fans, although supporters are advised to buy in advance from the South Stand ticket office at the Williamson Motors Stadium. Prices are £15 adults, over-60s/students £11, under-16s £5, wheelchair disabled £11.
Quakers have sold over 900 of their 1,600 allocation and any remaining tickets will be available on the day at Sincil Bank.
* Chester will announce their new manager on Friday morning.
The Blues have been managerless since Ian Rush quit the Saunders Honda Stadium this month but are finally set to present their new boss to the fans before Saturday's home clash with Northampton.
