Weardale father Alistair Howes is spending the weekend walking the length of Hadrian's Wall to raise money for children with disabilities.
Mr Howes, from Frosterley, and his partner Helen Blackburn, were inspired to found the charity Independence 4 Disability by their four-year-old son Jake, who has cerebral palsy and is blind, and his autistic brother James, seven. The fund helps children in Weardale with special needs.
Last September Mr Howes completed the coast-to-coast cycle ride with experienced cyclists David Ayre and Jimmy French.
